Dear Friends,

Welcome to the website of St. Dorothy Church and School on Chicago’s historic southside!

I am blessed to be the pastor of this wonderful African-American community of faith. Our parish is now 90+ years old, made up of African-Americans who moved here in the mid-20th century, established solid households, educated their children at St. Dorothy, and supported this church with hard work, fiscal generosity and powerful prayers. Our people truly love this Church which has been part of their entire adult life, and our school continues to be an area beacon of excellence in curriculum and staff.

Our vision for the 21st century ahead is continuing our heritage of spiritual and relational vitality; reaching out to our neighbors with ministries of healing, education, and social justice; and “re-neighboring” this community by our Faith, commitments and presence.
